Set up your eSIM

Install it at home on Wi-Fi, then switch it on when you land. Pick your phone below; it takes about five minutes.

Step by step

  • Stay on Wi-Fi
  • Install before your trip
  • Each code installs once
  1. 1

    Open the eSIM settings

Go to Settings › Mobile Service (or Cellular) and tap Add eSIM.

  2. 2

    Scan or paste

Choose Use QR Code and scan it, or tap Enter Details Manually and paste both codes.

  3. 3

    Name the line

Call it “Travel” so it's easy to spot. Keep your usual line for calls and texts.

  4. 4

    Switch on when you land

Turn the travel line on, use it for mobile data and turn on Data Roaming for it.

  1. 1

    Open the SIM settings

Go to Settings › Network & internet (or Connections) › SIMs and add an eSIM. Names vary by brand.

  3. 3

    Name the line

Call it “Travel” so it's easy to spot. Keep your usual SIM for calls and texts.

  4. 4

    Switch on when you land

Troubleshooting

The QR code won't scan
Turn up the brightness of the screen showing it, or skip the camera and enter the two codes by hand.
My phone says the code is no longer valid
Each code installs once. If the eSIM is already on your phone, you'll find it in your SIM settings. If it isn't, contact support and we'll sort it out.
It's installed but there's no internet
Check that the travel line is on, chosen for mobile data and has roaming turned on. It connects once you're in a covered destination.
I can't find the option to add an eSIM
Your phone may not support eSIM or may be locked to your carrier. Check the compatible devices list. See compatible devices

Don't delete your eSIM

Each code installs once. If something isn't working, turn the line off rather than removing it, and message us first.
