Not sure your phone takes an eSIM?
Most phones from the last few years do, as long as they aren't locked to a carrier. Look yours up before you buy.

- 1Open Settings › Mobile Service and tap Add eSIM.
- 2Choose Use QR Code and scan the code from your email.
- 3When you land, turn the line on and switch on Data Roaming for it.
Install on Android
- 1Open Settings › Network & internet › SIMs and add an eSIM.
- 2Scan the QR code, or paste the two codes from your email.
- 3When you land, set the eSIM for mobile data and turn on roaming.
Popular questions
How do I install my eSIM?
Open the email we send after payment (or My eSIMs, if you have an account) and scan the QR code from your phone's settings. Do it at home on Wi-Fi before you leave; the setup guide shows every screen.
When does my plan start?
Each plan page says when the days start counting. For most plans that's the first time the eSIM connects to a network in your destination, so installing early doesn't use any days.
Will my phone work with an eSIM?
It needs to support eSIM and be unlocked from your carrier. Most recent iPhones, Pixels and Samsung Galaxy phones qualify; the compatible devices list has the details.
Can I keep my WhatsApp number?
Yes. WhatsApp stays tied to your usual number, not to the SIM that carries your data. Keep your normal SIM in the phone and let the eSIM handle data only.
What if I run out of data?
Buy another plan for the same destination. It arrives as a new eSIM that you install the same way, and your phone can hold several.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, as long as the eSIM hasn't connected to a network yet and the plan hasn't expired. If an eSIM is faulty and we can't get you online, you get your money back in full.
