What is an eSIM?
A digital SIM you install from a QR code, so there is no card to post or swap. Your usual SIM stays in the phone and the eSIM adds prepaid data for your trip. How it works.
Does my phone support eSIM?
Most phones from 2018 onwards do, as long as they are not locked to one carrier. Dial *#06# and look for an EID, or find your model.
Will I keep my number and WhatsApp?
Yes. The eSIM is data-only and sits next to your usual SIM, so your number, WhatsApp and other apps keep working.
Can I still make normal calls and texts?
Yes, on your usual SIM at your own carrier’s rates. Calls in WhatsApp and other apps use the eSIM’s data.
When does my plan start?
Most plans start the first time the eSIM connects to a network in a covered destination, so installing at home uses no days. The plan page always says. When plans start.
How do I set it up?
After payment we email you a QR code and an install link. Install the eSIM before you leave, then switch on data roaming for it when you land. Setup guide.
What if I run out of data?
Top-ups are not available yet, so buy a new plan for the rest of the trip. It installs the same way.
What if my plans change?
An eSIM that has not connected to a network yet is refunded in full, usually back on your card within 5 to 10 business days. How refunds work.
