An EID means the chip is there
The EID is the serial number of your phone's built-in SIM, so seeing one proves the eSIM hardware is there. Before you travel, also make sure your carrier hasn't locked the phone to its network.
No dialer handy? Look in Settings → Cellular or Settings → Network for an "Add eSIM" option.
